Home Thai Restaurant

Hello guys! We're back with today's post about Home Thai Restaurant. Have you heard about this restaurant? Some of you may know because we think it's quite famous in Sydney. Located in Sussex street in Sydney CBD, Home is one of the restaurants that offers the best Thai foods.

What to order at Home? Our favourite is Phad Thai Keaw. It's like stir-fry beef with herbs and spices which make it a bit salty and spicy. The beef is really juicy and chewy which is right for a stir-fry beef. It also comes with jasmine steamed rice and fresh chili too.

Another LGJ's favourite dish is Home Phad Thai Noodles. It's not like another Pad Thai, Home Pad Thai Noodles has some uniqe spices that add more flavour to the meal. It's not spicy at all so you can add dried chili to add the spiciness of the dish.

That's for the main dish, here comes the dessert. There are plenty of thai desserts from Home you can choose. But the most favourite one is Fried Banana. Served with sweet coconut dipping sauce which makes it taste really good. The fried banana is really crispy and the banana is usually sweet. It's just perfect to end your lunch or dinner.

Their sticky rice is also good, you can choose sticky rice with mango or durian. Both are taste just great. And don't forget to order a Thai ice tea with your meal, a perfect companion for the main dish. That is all our review for today guys. Hope it helps you what to order when you're planning to Home Thai Restaurants.

Bondi Pizza

Hello again readers! Today's post will be about the famous Bondi Pizza. Bondi Pizza is well-known with their thin pressed pizza that we think is absolutely delicious! Located in Bondi Beach and Westfield Bondi Junction, Bondi Pizza is the perfect place to run to when you're craving for a fine pizza.

So here we are to give you some references of what to order at Bondi Pizza. All range of their pizza are extremely delicious, but one of LGJ team's favourite is their lamb pizza. Some of you may do not really like lamb meat, but really, their lamb pizza tastes so good. They grilled the lamb meat nicely so it no longer smells like a lamb meat. The pizza is so thin and crispy. The tomato dices and the caesar sauce add more flavour to the pizza which make this lamb pizza, the yummiest lamb pizza we have ever tried.

Marinated Chargrilled Lamb

That was the pizza and now here comes the dessert. Not only heaven for the pizza lovers, the desserts at Bondi Pizza are also incredible. Our team favourite (and apparently the most famous one at Bondi Pizza) is The Oven-Baked Swirls. Their home made oven-baked swirls is extremely delicious. There are some options for the swirl from original, banana, apple and chocolate brownie. But the most favourite one is the one with chocolate brownie. The swirls is just right, the brownie is sweet, warm and a bit chewy which also perfect. It is served with vanilla ice cream and melted chocolate. Definitely a must have dessert after meal.

The Chocolate Brownie Oven-Baked Swirls

Also have a try of their Grilled Chicken Pancetta which also taste so good. The sweet pizzas are also amazing so maybe you could give us another reference too what to eat there next time. That is all for today's post guys. We hope it helps you to decide what to eat on Bondi Pizza or where to go when you're looking for a fine pizza.

Sushi Eating Etiquette

Hey Guys , LGJ is back once again today with some tips and the etiquette to Enjoy Sushi

The Dos and Don'ts can be checked out from this Picture Below :

Credits to http://www.theworldsbestever.com/blog/ for the Picture

Let us explain The Don'ts to make it more senseful ,

1. It is considered as a  bad etiquette to  Eat Sushi in half as it is considered ruining the beauty of the hand-made sushi , thus it offends the sushi chef.

2. It is considered bad to eat a sushi with a pickeled-ginger as it ruins the original taste of the sushi , which also offends the sushi chef.

3. Dumping wasabi to the soy sauce is also a bad etiquette as it wastes wasabi. As the etiquette of adding wasabi to a sushi is either to put it directly between the rice and the fish , or to eat it right after the sushi goes into your mouth. Since wasting soy sauce and wasting wasabi is considered a bad etiqutte , we are expected to take those seasoning as much as we can finish.

So there you go , a simple tips to enjoy Sushi with a Good etiqutte !

So now you can enjoy your sushi in a high-class manner according to the japanese tradition in eating sushi.

Mad for Cakes

Hello Readers! Today we're gonna talk about patisseries  Who doesn't love cakes and sweets?? We all do love cakes, right?! Most of you probably would think about the famous Adriano Zumbo when talking about patisseries, but no, we won't talk about Adriano Zumbo today. Have you heard about Pasticceria Tamborrino? We're guessing some of you don't know about it. It's an Italian pasticceria in Five Dock. It may be not as famous as Adriano Zumbo, but I can guarantee their patisseries just as delicious as Zumbo's.

One of our team member has been there and tried most of their patisseries herself, and not even one of the sweets disappointing. Everything tastes as good as it looks, even better. As you can see, there are many choices of cakes, sweets and cookies on the shelf. You can also choose cakes which are gluten free for a healthier option. We personally think you should try each one of them but there are some of LGJ team favourites which are a must try.

1. Custard Doughnut

Their custard doughnut, is extremely delicious. The custard cream sweetness is just right. It is not sickening no matter how much you eat it. The doughnut is just as good as the custard cream, it's crispy on the outside and soft inside. They also have other choices of doughnuts like nutella doughnut which also yummy.

2. Apple Crumble

This is also one of LGJ team's favourite. The apple crumble slice is so good. The taste of the apple is just perfect, the sweetness is also perfect. They also put some crunchy vanilla on the top but it doesn't make the cake too sweet.

3. Mini Cannoli

Cannoli is one of Italian pastry. It looks like a tube cookies filled with sweets like chocolate, vanilla cream or custard cream. We have never tried cannoli before, but Tamborrino mini cannoli is just scrumptious. They have many choices of filling from vanilla, chocolate, custard, nutella and many else.

Located in an old pie factory at Alexandria, The Grounds has a really vintage interior and design with wooden tables and bricks wall that definitely will catch your eyes. The Grounds offers a sort of rustic menu. They do not have so many choices on the menu, but most of the dishes are grainy and very healthy.

But, to those of you who do not really enjoy this kind of food, don't worry. The Grounds also offers many kinds of pastry and sandwiches which are definitely healthy but still delicious. They have so many choices of pastry to eat in or take away and you shouldn't be going back home without having at least one of their pastries.

And also for you coffee lovers, The Grounds definitely a place to go. Caesar Salad Recipe :

INGREDIENTS :

* 1/2cup high quality extra virgin olive oil

* 4 cloves fresh garlic, peeled, smashed, then minced

* 1 baguette, preferably a day old, sliced thin

* 1/4 cup freshly juiced lemon juice (plus more taste)

* 4 ounces Parmesan cheese, grated

* 1 teaspoon achovy paste, or 1-2 anchovies, smashed and minced

* 2 eggs

* Freshly ground black Pepper (1/4 teaspoon or to taste)

* 1/2 teaspoon salt

* 4-6 small heads of romaine lettuce, rinsed, patted dry, wilted outer leaves discarded

How to Cook :

1. Prepare a very large bowl, then whisk together the olive oil and garlic. then let it rest for half an hour

2. While the oil is resting, make the croutons. Spread the baguette slices out over a baking sheet (may need to do in batches), lined with parchment paper or silpat. Brush or spray baguette with olive oil (or melted butter, or if you want garlicky croutons, dip pastry brush in the garlic infused oil you have sitting in step 1).Broil for a couple of minutes until the tops are lightly browned. (Note: Do not leave the baguette since these can easily go from browned to burnt.) Remove and let then let it cool down.

3. Add anchovies and eggs to the oil garlic mixture. Whisk until it goes creamy. Then add salt , pepper and 1/4 cup of lemon juice. Whisk in half of the Parmesan cheese. From this point you can taste it and season it according to your own taste and preference.

4. Tear off chunks of lettuce from the heads of lettuce (do not use knife to cut).Add the lettuce  to the oil mixture and toss until everything is coated. Add the rest of the Parmesan Cheese, then toss it again.

5. Coarsely chop the toasted baguette and add it (with the crumbs from the chopping) to the salad. Toss. Serve immediately.

Serves 4-6 for a main course or up to 8-12 for side salad.

Jeans BBQ Chilli Chicken

Hi Guys, it's us again! This time, we're gonna talk about one of our favourite restaurant, Jeans BBQ Chilli Chicken. Located in Eastwood (which is pretty close from Macquarie Uni), this Korean Restaurant is one of our favourite destination to eat when we get bored with meals from Macquarie Uni food hub and Macquarie Centre food court. As you all can guess from its name, this restaurant mostly offers spicy foods in their menu. So, to those of you whose spicy lover, Jeans BBQ Chilli Chicken is a must try. But, to some of you who does not like spicy food or simply cannot eat spicy food, there are several dishes which  are not spicy, but still scrumptious.

We have never tried all the dish on Jeans BBQ Chilli Chicken menu, but we will share some of our favourite dish to give you some reference what to order in this restaurant. The first on our top list is the Jeans Chilli Chicken.

The chicken is grilled with some kind of spicy sauce and served in a hot plate. It is so spicy yet tastes so good. The chicken always grilled nicely (not under-cooked and not over-cooked) every time we come to this restaurant. The portion is quite big too and enough for 2-3 people depending on how much you eat.

The second on our list is the Chilli Chicken cheese. It's pretty much the same with the first one, but this dish grilled with cheese and not as spicy as the Jeans Chilli Chicken.

The picture may not look so good. But really, this dish is one of the best on their menu. The spiciness is just right. And the melted cheese is really delicious. The portion of this dish is as big as the first one and enough  for 2-3 people. You can't really say no to this one.

The third one is Ginseng Friend Chicken. This dish is right for those of you who does not like spicy. Even though it is not spicy, it does not mean it does not taste as good as the first two. It tastes just as amazing as the spicy dishes.

The fried chicken is so tender and has a crispy skin. Served with mayonnaise, sesame sauce and hot chilli sauce. If you do not like spicy, you can ask the waitress to take out the sauce for you or to put it on a side. The portion is not as big as the firs two dishes, but should be enough for two people.

Last but not least, we would like to recommend you the amazing rice bowl of jeans chilli chicken as a perfect companion to all those dishes we have mentioned earlier. This is not an ordinary rice. The Jeans BBQ Chilli Chicken Rice Bowl is some kind of sticky rice mixed with seaweed and it is incredibly tasty.

We think that's all we can recommend to you guys. Not to forget Jeans BBQ Chilli Chicken also have another amazing dish on their menu like Chili Grilled Eel or Chili BBQ Pork which also a must try. We hope our opinion could be a reference to you who wants to try out Jeans BBQ Chili Chicken or simply looking for  a new place to eat.
